 C

 D

Soln.
Ans: a

6 days earlier than Saturday will be Sunday. So day 11 of that month is Sunday. Number of days between 25 and 11 is 14. Since 14 = 2 X 7 + 0, so excess days are 0. So we can count the day to Sunday

Count the days from months between January 1 and June 1 like this: January days = 31;February days = 28;March days = 31;April days = 30;May days = 31; So total days = 151. Since 151 = 21 X 7 + 4, so excess days are 4. So we can count the day to Thursday + 4 = Monday.

Question 5

Sunita is 25 weeks and 9 days older than me, whereas Rakesh is 71 weeks and 7 days older than Sunita. If Rakesh was born on a Tuesday, on which day of the week was I born?

 A

Thursday.

 B

Friday.

 C

Sunday.

 D

Tuesday.

Soln.
Ans: a

Rakesh is 25 + 71 = 96 weeks and 9 + 7 = 16 days older than me. Weeks are in multiples of 7 days. So we can ignore them. We can deal with the 16 days alone. Since 16 = 2 X 7 + 2, the excess days are 2. So we can count the day to Tuesday + 2 = Thursday.
