The whole pattern rotates clockwise one place at a time. A new icon appears at the mid of the bottom row. So we can see a $ appears in the mid of the bottom row. Then X appears. After that a triangle appears. In the answer figure no icon will come in the mid of bottom row, so there is no new replacement, and all the arrows merely rotate by one place.

The pattern at each step is:

1. Top left icon moves to lower left corner.
2. Icon in the lower left corner moves to the middle.
3. The one in the middle moves to the lower right corner.
4. The one in the lower right corner moves to the top left corner.
5. There is no change in the top right corner.

The small ball and the dash (-) rotate clock-wise.

Two smart players are playing tic-tac-toe. In the answer figure it is the turn of X, so it will try to place itself so as to prevent the + from completing its row.

The arrow is turning counter-clockwise but always pointing inside the square. The plus (+) and the multiplication sign (X) appear alternately. The diagonal of the square remains the same. So in the answer the arrow will come at the top edge of the square, and a + sign would be visible. There would be no change in the diagonal.
