A, B and C start a partnership business by investing equal amounts of money. What would be the share of B if the annual profit is Rs. 4800, and the time for which they invested are in an AP?
Rs. 1600.
Rs. 1700.
Rs. 1500.
Rs. 1800.
Ans: a
Let the times be a - d, a and a + d. The amounts are same but times are different. So the share should be in the ratio of times. Share of B = $(time of B)/(sum of times)$ × 4800 = $a/{3a}$ × 4800 = Rs. 1600.
