Discussion of Questions on Sitting Seating Arrangements

[SBI PO 2016 Mains]There are two parallel rows of six seats each. A, B, C, D and E are sitting in row-1 facing South. P, Q, R, S and T are facing North. One seat is vacant in each row. Each likes a different color i.e. Red, Green, Pink, Blue, Purple, White, Black, Grey, Violet and Yellow.

1. S sits third to the right of R and likes Blue color. Only two people sit between Q and the vacant seat.
2. Q does not like Purple or Pink color.
3. E is not an immediate neighbor of C. B likes yellow color.
4. The one who likes Pink faces the one who likes Grey color.
5. The one who likes Pink sits opposite to the one who sits third right
   of the person who sits opposite to S.
6. C is not an immediate neighbor of D.
7. T, who likes neither Purple nor White color, does not face the vacant seat.
8. Neither S nor R sits at any of the extreme ends. D faces R.
9. Vacant seats are not opposite to each other.
10. Two persons sit between C and B, who sits third right of the
    one who likes Black color.
11. The one who likes Violet color faces the one who likes Blue color.
12. The persons who like the Red and Grey colors are adjacent to each other.
13. Vacant seat of row - 1 is not an immediate neighbor of D.
14. Q sits at one of the extreme ends. R does not like Red and Grey color.
15. Vacant seat of row-1 does not face S who doesn't sit at any of the extreme ends.

Seven friends A, B, C, D, E, F and G are sitting around a table facing either the center or outside. Each one belongs to a different department: Finance, Marketing, Sales, HR, Corporate Finance, Investment Banking and Operations. C sits third to the right of G. G faces the center. Only one person sits between C and the person working in the HR department. Immediate neighbors of C face outside. Only one person sits between F and D, both of whom face the center. D doesn't work in the HR department. A works in the Investment Banking department, and faces towards the center. Two persons sit between the persons working in Investment Banking and Marketing departments. The person who works in Corporate Finance department sits to the immediate left of E. C faces the same direction as E. The person who works in Corporate Finance sits to the immediate right of the person who works in Finance. G works in Operations. What is the arrangement?

A, B, C, D, E, G, and I are seven friends who study in three different standards namely 5th, 6th, 7th such that not less than two friends study in the same standard. Each friend also has a different favorite subject namely History, Civics, English, Marathi, Hindi, Maths and Economics but not necessarily in the same order. A likes Maths and studies in 5th standard with only one other friends who likes Marathi. I studies with two other friends. Both the friends who study with I like language (here languages include only Hindi, Marathi and English).D studies in 6th standard with only one person and does not like Civics. An organization decided to distribute seven types of laptops on week days starting from Monday to Sunday. The seven laptops to be distributed are of Sony, Acer, Asus, Lenovo, Dell, HP and HCL but not necessarily in the same order. Dell laptops to be given on Saturday, Lenovo laptops are given just after Asus laptops and Asus laptops are not given on Wednesday. HP laptops are given two days after the distribution of Asus laptop. Acer laptops are distributed just after Sony laptop. HCL laptops are distributed after Acer laptops. HP laptops are distributed after Dell laptops. What is the arrangement?

Seven lectures are scheduled to be held in a week. There is only one lecture on each of the seven days of the week, starting from Monday and ending on Sunday. Chemistry is taught either on Wednesday or on Saturday. Three lectures are scheduled to be held between Chemistry and English. Two lectures are scheduled to be held between English and Computers. D likes chemistry and studies in standard VIII with only H. B does not study in standard VII. E and A study in the same standard but not with B. C and F study in the same standard. Those who study in standard VI do not like mathematics or biology. F likes physics. The one who studies in standard VIII likes English. C does not like Geography. A's favorite subject is Marathi and G does not like Biology.
