Question

Eight friends are sitting in a straight line. Half of them are facing north, and half are facing the south direction. E and G are facing opposite directions. There are two persons between D and E. G is between E and C, who is facing the south direction. F is to the left of D and B is to the right of F. [time allowed < 4 minutes]

Solution

From the statements we can see that C, B, F and E are facing south, and others are facing north. This can be used to obtain the following arrangement, left to right: B-F-D-A-H-E-G-C.
