Directions: In column I, some words are given. In column II, their codes are given but they are not arranged in same order in which the are in column I. Study the letters in both the columns and find out the code to the letter given in each of the following questions.
Column I Column II (1) SOUND (A) abi (2) ADDRESS (B) csmv (3) CRUX (C) ikmox (4) NET (D) isktv (5) CRONY (E) skgotv (6) CROWDY (F) blooxxv
What is the code for the letter O?
Code for SOUND/CRONY is isktv / ikmox because both are five letter words. Common to the two words are O and N, the codes of which should be i or k, the latter being the commons in their codes. Now take CROWDY which has O but not N. Its code is skgotv, which contains k but not i. So O = k.
If ' LOGIC' is coded in a certain language as 'BHFNK', how is 'CLERK' coded in the same language?
In a certain code, 'FORGET' is written as 'DPPHCU' . How would 'DOCTOR' be written in that code?
