Code for SOUND/CRONY is isktv / ikmox because both are five letter words. Common to the two words are O and N, the codes of which should be i or k, the latter being the commons in their codes. Now take CROWDY which has O but not N. Its code is skgotv, which contains k but not i. So O = k.

If ' LOGIC' is coded in a certain language as 'BHFNK', how is 'CLERK' coded in the same language?
